Fort Defiance sits at 6,836 feet in the high-desert of northeastern Arizona, on the Navajo Nation. The Navajo Nation is 27,413 square miles (about the size of West Virginia) encompassing parts of northeastern Arizona, northwestern New Mexico and southern Utah. This unique geographical position not only offers breathtaking landscapes but also a rich cultural tapestry.
Fort Defiance experiences a high desert climate, with warm summers and cold winters. Moderate precipitation, particularly during the summer monsoon season, nourishes the desert, providing stunning vistas and clear starry nights.
